In the afternoon, they took part in an Egyptian workshop and explored the Egyptian artefacts. They made a timeline showing how long ago it was since the start of the Ancient Egyptian civilisation, learnt about mummification and the afterlife, sacrificed one of the children, checked whether Miss Lopiccolo had a good heart and could get to the afterlife, and saw lots of genuine Egyptian artefacts, including two real life mummies!

The museum is free to visit (not including the workshop activities which are part of their education programme), and they will be having a special exhibition about dinosaurs during half-term if you're looking for ideas for a day out!
