News and Updates from Year 4

Sponsored Bounce

On Friday 24th February, along with the rest of the school, we took part in a sponsored bounce.  As a class, we bounced for thirty minutes - which equalled 7.5 minutes each in small groups.  We had a great time and look forward to seeing how much money we raise  :)

Sponsored Walk

On Wednesday 21st September, the whole school set off on a sponsored walk to raise money for lots of new things for our lovely school.  We walked across the fields to Waddow Hall, where we stopped for a rest, a drink and a biscuit.  We look forward to counting how much money we raised!

Patron of Reading visit

On Tuesday 13th September, we had our first visit from author Dan Worsley, who is our school's 'patron of reading'.  We enjoyed a brilliant storytelling session with the rest of KS2, then Dan visited our class to do a writing workshop with us.  We learnt about 'show not tell', using alliteration, and how to create mean characters.  After his visit, we used what we had planned to write part of a pirate story.  Photos and examples of work below.

PE

In the Autumn term, we are having some of our PE lessons with coaches Phil and Marie.  Below are photos of some of the things we have been doing.
